Before commencing of the meeting, the Working Group was invited to preview an exhibition in the Korean Cultural Centre.

The exhibition, Wordless Picture Books by 7 artists from Korea, titled - Wonder, will be on display from 9 May till 7 July 2023. The members of the group were privileged to meet two of the artists and listen to their stories about creating the art works.

Matters arising from previous minutes.

Excellence awards.

CAVAL has provided $1,000 towards Multicultural Excellence Award to be given to the winning organisation.

Individual awards winners will receive a certificate, to be recognised for their hard work and information sharing.

There will be two organisational awards of $750 each. The categories are for library servicing population over 100 000 and another for servicing under 100 000 population.

The original PLN document regarding awarding of the prizes will be reviewed to acknowledge the changes.

PLN is still to nominate a Library manager to work with the Working Group.

NPLA has a new website.

Other Business

Sujatha suggested to approach Ross Balharrie to include in the Consortium resources that support the Multicultural community, such as Cloud Library.

Joanne Goh is the new Collection Services Coordinator of the State Library of NSW Multicultural (and ESL) Bulk Loan service.

Oriana is retiring in June. Happy retirement! We will miss you.

New bookmarks about the bulk loans and Multicultural Services are being prepared and will be send to the libraries.

Sujatha reported Public libraries Highlights were available, but not the complete report - Public Library Statistics.

Launch at Dee Why Library on 3 June 2023.

Suppliers seminars cancelled.

Canterbury Library is preparing a special event - Ukrainian celebration to be run in July.

Meeting ended: 3:25pm.
