Timeline - Please note the following important dates:

2025 schedule

February: Estimated release of preferred Library networks from Registration form. If you wish to change your networks after seeing these lists then contact Trove Partner Support

Feb 13 Resource Sharing Working Group: Project update, networks and technical Q&A

Feb-March: Initial Training delivered – TBC

March
• Enable Logins for ReShare
• 13 March Trove Partners Resource Sharing system preview and callout for user acceptance testing.

April: Learning material on Learning Hub

May: Working Group Q&A

March-June: Staged go live.

Q: Will networks be able to be changed once LADD has ended? A: Based on previous conversations in working group meetings you should be able to request a move between networks via the Trove Partner Support Form.

Action: Ask at the next Resource Sharing Working Group Meeting about accuracy of current timeline and whether there are any updates to completion by end of June.

Q: With above timeline coming up would reciprocal locations be interested in moving to email requests should deadline pass?
Floating idea may loop back with a MS form once we know a bit more from the Feb meeting. Suggested possibly also ordering items directly from the local catalogue like a borrower would.

8. ILL Van

  • New driver commenced - Gustavo

Any issues
All seems to be working well so far with deliveries occurring regularly and no cigarette smoke.
Action: Shelley to email Genevieve to see if;

  • This change of driver is permanent: Confirmed just leave cover for regular driver who away until March.
  • If this changes any move away from Australia Post as courier: Confirmed this hasn't changed the SLNSW looking into alternate courier options given Australia Posts recent performance.
  • Does this impact cost: TBC

9. The Wiki

10. Libraries Australia/LADD issues

10. Suggested topics for discussion

Is there a standard lending period for ILL items: Similar query covered in December meeting. While it is understood that arriving with 3 weeks lend time is not always helpful the lending period from 4 weeks on are largely set by local policy and might not be able to set longer than 4 weeks initially but can renew if asked.

LADD update: See above Trove update

Have any other ILL officers been asked to search through Trove instead of Libraries Australia: Searching in Trove not as clear as LA – holdings not as up to date, hard to locate record number and catalogues don’t automatically open in a new tab so you are constantly going back and forth.
Noted by City of Sydney that this directive may be linked to the amount of LA searches. This is tracked by NLA and capped at a different amount per Trove Collaborative Services package
