Editing conventions

Use the docuwiki manual for instructions about how to edit this wiki.

  • Think about how other people may use this wiki before making changes.
  • The easiest way to create a new page is set up the navigation for it first.
  • For dates for minutes no hyphens - for example Minutes 8 August 2020 Rockdale Library RISG - this format of Minutes date library name and working group name for the minutes means that it will be clear who the minutes belong to, not matter how the page was reached.
  • To embed video by using the syntax { {youtube>video_id}}. You need to have {{ for both brackets.
  • For seminars working group name should be part of navigation title, unless the seminar has a distinctive title and it will be obvious which working group it belongs to.
  • The working group name should be part of navigation title in most situations.
  • Helpful links for reconstructing the wiki are at the bottom of this page.
  • File types you can upload to the wiki are listed here.

Information about previous wikis

Several NSW public libraries had been using other wikis prior to migrating content to this wiki in January 2019. For example the Readers' advisory working group had been using a wiki since May 2007, the Reference and information services working group since May 2009 and the Young peoples working group since January 2011. Minutes and seminar information has been migrated, but not all internet links still work. If you can find a working link which has been missed, please edit the page to include the new information.
