9.30 - 10.30 Mimosa Shah from Civic Labs at Skokie Library. Civic Lab offers information, activities, and discussion on issues facing our community. The Civic Lab pops up at the library and now online around different events and topics. presentation is here

10.30 - 11.30 Louise Garbers from Climate Data Services Bureau of Meteorology. This session is to help us better use the climate data and came out of the readers advisory steering group discussion about how we started looking at this data

Break out session prompts.

  • Around the break out session, ask people name/library, if they are in the library or working off site, and something different their library is doing since lock down (or some other not too cheesy and not too time consuming question)
  • How are people going?
  • What ideas did you get for your library from listening to the talks today? Each person to say one?
  • What things from this day you might try at your library? Is it different if you think about onsite services or online
  • How have you been providing information services while your library is closed?

2.15 - 2.30 professional development resources available on Indyreads. You can see a list of some of the titles here on the Indyreads platform, and (provided your library is a member of Indyreads, you will be able to borrow them).

2.30 - 3.00pm by chat participants will share details of professional development resources they are using on a regular basis - people are encouraged to share links so that other people can follow up on these. They can be in any format.
